“I am happy to recommend The Studio* Collaborative as the architect and design partner of choice, for commercial builds.
The Studio* have partnered with Fidelity International, on our move to new office premises at 60 Martin Place, Sydney during 2020. The Studio* have been a highly engaged and diligent partner, during all stages of the process, from surveying and scoping, to design and planning and through to their on-site engagement with our builders, MPA, to ensure a pristine delivery. The seamless management and on-time delivery of this project, was all the more remarkable, given the fit-out of our new build/office plate began just as the most severe restrictions for Covid-19 were enforced, in March this year. The team worked with our Project Managers, Facilitate and builders MPA, to review and rearchitect our supply chains to ensure that the build could be completed and delivered on time and on budget.
The Studio* are commended for their complex stakeholder engagement and management. This project was delivered for multiple (often competing) stakeholders of the Australian business and also, the Fidelity International - Global Corporate Property Services (CPS) function, including the Global Head of CPS in the UK and the APAC Head of CPS in Hong Kong. Fidelity International is a complex client and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders on this journey, was key to achieving a great outcome for both our Australian team and our global organisation.
Our move was a brave move in the context of Fidelity, collapsing two floor plates into one, moving out of offices into activity-based working, with a large emphasis on re-architecting the culture of our business. Together, we achieved an elegant, fluid workspace for our current business, and an attractive employee value proposition going forward. The Studio* delivered a 1000sqm fitout comprising a boardroom, meeting rooms, phone booths and an open plan workspace and breakout area with sweeping views across Sydney harbour. Importantly, we now have a highly democratic space, with the best realestate occupied by all our teams, together. There really is no bad seat in the house!
